Where will you live next year?
Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, returning sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student, we encourage you to consider Temple’s on-campus housing accommodations. And with our Online Housing Selection program called MyHousing via the TUportal, you have the opportunity to select roommates and request specific housing options.
Review the Important Dates section of the website to familiarize yourself with important dates and deadlines.
Housing Selection Guide Now Available
Students can also download the 508 compliant PDF version (PDF) designed in consideration for students with disabilities.
For questions or concerns, please contact the Office of University Housing and Residential Life at (215) 204-7184 option #5.
4-Stage Housing Selection Process
- Submit Your Housing Deposit through TUpay (current students) or the Next Steps Channel (new students).
- Agree to the Housing Contract. Students under the age of 18 need to have a parent or legal guardian complete this stage. Students can also determine if they plan on adding roommates when they self-assign.
- Complete Emergency Comtact Information. Prior to selecting housing and moving into our residence halls, students are required to provide Emergency Contact information to our department.
- Self-book your housing and meal plan through MyHousing on the TUportal.
The Housing Selection Process works on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier students submit a deposit, the better the chances of receiving preferred accommodations. Although demand is great and no guarantees can be made, students who submit a deposit on time in accordance with our proposed schedule generally receive on-campus accommodations. Students who do not receive housing will have deposits refunded or applied to their university accounts as long as they cancel their application prior to May 15th. Twenty-four hours after the Bursar’s Office processes your housing deposit, you can log into the MyHousing website through TUportal to book your own room. Please note, that delays in processing deposits may occur on nonbusiness days and holidays, and during system upgrades.
